Extended Wear (up to 3 weeks):

With the correct prep and for Birdie nails nails applied with our nail glue, your manicure can last up to 3 weeks.

Temporary Wear (2-3 days):

With the correct prep and using our Birdie sticky tabs, your nails will last up to 2-3 days.

Note: these are estimates and can vary depending on your lifestyle and how strictly you followed our best practice application guidelines and hot tips below!

1. Prep

The key to long lasting Birdie nails is all in the prep. Prepping your nails correctly is a must to help ensure your Birdie nails stay on as long as possible. 

• Using the cuticle stick, start by pushing back your cuticles. This allows your Birdie nails to bond more easily with your natural nails’ surface 
• Size your Birdie nails by placing them above each of your natural nails, and choosing the ones that fit best
• Lightly buff your nails using the nail filer. Pro tip: filing your nails in the same direction will help them last longer
• Clean your natural nails completely with the alcohol wipe. This will remove your natural oils which prevent the adhesive from doing what it does best! Pro tip: give the backside of your Birdie nails a little wipe as well to remove any dust. 

2. Apply

Each set comes with two options for application: Sticky Tabs (short-term wear), or Glue (long-term wear). 

Sticky Tabs:

• Size the sticky tab that fits your natural nail the best, and apply the adhesive. Pro tip: choose sticky tabs that are slightly smaller than your natural nail bed for a cleaner finish!
• Apply Birdie nail at a 45 degree angle and press down firmly for 20-30 seconds. Make sure you remove all air bubbles!

Glue

• Working one nail at a time, apply a pea sized amount of nail glue on your natural nail, and on the centre of the back of your Birdie nail.
• Be super careful not to touch the glue with your fingers, as it bonds quickly!
• Apply Birdie nail at a 45 degree angle and press down firmly for 20-30 seconds. Make sure you remove all air bubbles!

Yes! To help ensure the longest wear possible:

• Do not touch your natural nails with your fingers after you have wiped them with the alcohol pad. Try and apply your nails ASAP after wiping, as any further contact with your fingers will add oils back onto your nails and affect the adhesive
• Avoid contact with water for 2 hours after application…We know, easier said than done right! This really will extend the wear time though! 
• Choose the right size for your nails - you want to avoid choosing nails that are too large or too small. If you do, this means that water and other substances can make their way underneath your Birdie nail, interact with the adhesive, leading to premature lifting or discolouration.

For your Birdie nails to be 100% reusable we recommend letting them fall off naturally. However, if you’re in a pinch and need to remove them, just follow the steps below:

• Soak hands in warm water with soap or oil to loosen the glue.
• Prep your skin and nails with any oil you have lying around the house, to further help loosen the glue around the edges. Olive or Coconut oil work great!  
• Once you begin to feel the glue soften, use the cuticle stick provided to gently unstick the edges and tip of your Birdie nail. Your Birdie nail should easily pop off from here. 
• Remove any excess glue from your natural nail by buffing and/or with acetone if needed.
• Remove any residual glue on your Birdie nail, and place them back in your Birdie box for next time’s use!

Absolutely! That's one of the best parts about press-ons!

Our nails are designed to be super durable and long-lasting so that they can be reused multiple times!

To prep your Birdie nails for re-use, all you need to do following removal is buff off any residue glue from your using the nail filer provided. Then, pop them in your Birdie box for next time's use.

Yes! Our press-ons purposely come in medium-long length so that you can always go shorter or change the shape at home to suit your personal preference.

Just use your Birdie nail file provided in your kit, and if needed, whichever nail clippers you have at home.

Press-ons are the perfect manicure option for anyone:

💜 Who loves getting/having their nails...but finds salon-nails cost too much, and grow out too fast

👩‍💻 Because of your job or lifestyle, having full manicured or long nails are impractical (simply use our temporary sticky tabs and remove them after 1-3 days of use!)

We want our Birdies to be 100% satisfied and super happy with their purchase, so we will work with you and do what we can to make this happen! In the rare case you receive a damaged or faulty item, we are more than happy to replace this free of charge, or refund you.

Unfortunately, we don't offer refunds for change of mind purchases, but we will issue you with a store credit if the item is successfully returned in its original condition within 14 days of purchase.
